Walking on two feet again.

I haven't felt like blogging for weeks, but here I am back again. The knee surgery went as expected, but I left the hospital with a severe bladder infection, nausea, vomiting, etc. That's getting better and today, Ken and I went out to DeFazio's for lunch--our regular Sunday spot.
Wednesday I begin an outpatient physical therapy at a nearby place. The dr. gave me permission to drive, but I think Ken is sceptical about that. He will probably drive me there after breakfast three days a week for a month at least.

Abri and Dave have been coming over to count out my pills for me. Nineteen of them per day, I think. I'd have had pills all over the carpet if I'd had to do it myself, but I think I'll be able to do it for myself now. Even showered alone today. Such small steps!

Thank you all for your warm thoughts and prayers. Thirty-four days post surgery, I couldn't have survived without your support. Now my goal is to recuperate enough to give a good "Grand-Mary" program for Irene's genealogy group on October 6 at Coffeyville, and then again on October 8 for a church group in east Wichita.

I love you all!
